Yuxi–Mengzi Railway : ウィキペディア英語版 | Yuxi–Mengzi Railway The Yuxi–Mengzi Railway or Yumeng Railway (), is a railroad in Yunnan Province of Southwest China. The line runs from Yuxi in central Yunnan to Mengzi City in southern Yunnan.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 script-title=zh:"云南在建铁路项目简介" 昆明铁路局宣传部 )〕 Construction began on December 15, 2005, and was scheduled to take six years.〔 Track construction was completed in mid-August 2012 and the line opened to commercial service on February 23, 2013. Cities and towns along route include Yuxi, Tonghai County, Jianshui County and Mengzi.〔 ==Trans-Asian Railway== The Yuxi–Mengzi Railway forms the Eastern Route of China's rail link to Southeast Asia. When the Mengzi–Hekou Railway is completed, trains from Kunming, Yunnan's provincial capital, will be able to travel on standard gauge rail to Hekou, on the border with Vietnam. The Central Route will connect Yuxi and Mohan on the border with Laos. The Western Route will extend from Kunming to Dali to Ruili, on the border with Myanmar.
